Susan Hoover Baber, 64, passed away on March 1 at home after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was the Chief Operating Officer of Uvalde Dental Associates and belonged to The Order of the Daughters of the King. Susan loved animals and always had pets including several Siamese cats, and worked with the Uvalde Humane Society. Born in Miami, Florida, Susan lived all over the country and her joy for life created friendships everywhere. She is survived by her husband Dr. Gregory Baber, daughter Melissa Abbott, mother Joyce Hoover, sister Janet Baker, brother Alton Hoover, Jr., niece Diana Baker, nephew Richard Baker, and great-nephew Joshua Baker.

Monday evening at 6:00 vigil prayers will take place at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church on Tuesday at 10:00 AM with burial at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery immediately after, followed by visitation and luncheon at St. Philip’s parish hall. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Philip's Memorial Fund, Rides to Radiation, Uvalde Hospice, or the Uvalde Dental Associates’ Relay for Life team.
