Elsie Galindo

Elsie Galindo of Uvalde passed away on April 3, 2023 at her residence at the age of 51.

She was born on January 19, 1972, in San Antonio, Texas to Nicolasa (Lopez) and Jose Rodriguez.

She married Gavino Galindo in Uvalde, Texas on July 28, 2013.

She is survived by her husband of 9 years of Uvalde; her mother, Nicolasa L. Rodriguez of Uvalde; sons, Roland Rodriguez and wife, Priscilla Ibarra of Eagle Pass, Jeremy Herrera and wife, Ester Lara of Uvalde, and Joshua Herrera and Memri Vasquez of Carrizo Springs; sister, Josie Rodriguez and husband, Edward;  brother, Arturo Rodriguez and wife, Dora of Uvalde; grandchildren, RJ Rodriguez, Roman Rodriguez, Estrella Herrera, Jayce Herrera, Jesenia Herrera, Jeremias Herrera, Jovani Herrera, and Jeune A. Herrera.

She is preceded in death by her father and grandson, Jaython Herrera.

Visitation will begin on Monday, April 10, 2023, at 1 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Sean Rodriguez, Bryan Rodriguez, Joel Garza, Alejandro Garza, Jr., Alex Gonzalez, and Carlos Lopez.
