Ethan Rios

Ethan Anthony Rios of Uvalde, passed away on November 23, 2022 in Temple at the age of 13.

Ethan was born on March 27, 2009 in Uvalde to Lawrence Rios and Zenaida De La Garza..

He is survived by his mother, Zenaida De La Garza and husband Orlando Garcia of Uvalde; father, Lawrence Rios and companion Jessica Martinez of Uvalde; three sisters, Angelica Perez, J’Lynn Rios and Zenaiah Garcia all of Uvalde; step-sisters, Kaylynn Garcia and Anissa Garcia both of Uvalde; step-brother, Jordon Mendoza; maternal grandmother Francisca Valdez and husband Ramon Saldivar of Uvalde; paternal grandfather, Jesus Rios of Uvalde; maternal great grandmother, Rosantina Vela of Uvalde; maternal great grandparents, Jose and Juanita De La Garza of Uvalde; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ethan was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jose (Pito) Guadalupe De La Garza Jr. paternal grandmother, Gloria Rios, aunt, Yulissa Lynn De La Garza and step-brother, Jaydon Xavier Mendoza.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, December 14 at 2 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
