Born in Corpus Christi, Texas on August 6, 1986, and raised in Schertz, Texas, our angel, Aaron Dane Villarreal departed to the Heavens surrounded by his loved ones on April 9, 2012, at the age of 25. He leaves behind his son, Ashton sister, Rebecca Villarreal, and his parents, Anthony Villarreal and Joe and Betty Booher grandmother, Martha Luna niece, Victoria Guerrero. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lydia Villarreal and maternal grandfather Armando Luna. Aaron was loved by many friends and family. Growing up he loved nature and completed 5 years of cub scouts into a boy scout. He traveled to many historic places in the great northwest, National Parks and Alaska with his parents. At a young age of 19, he began to battle his leukemia and was treated by the best physicians at M.D. Anderson and the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Methodist Hospital. A true hero and smiling as he journied through a courageous battle. His infectious personality and smile was loved by many especially the many nurses that cared for him. His favorite pastime was watching movies and cuddling with his Chihuahua Peanut. The family would like to express sincere appreciation for the care provided by numerous facilities over the course of his illness. We would like to express special thanks to Dr. Bachier and Nurse Practitioner NP Jill. Thank you to the many family and friends too numerous to mention, but know that you have made a difference. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Schertz Funeral Home, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Services will continue on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Uvalde, Texas, at 10:00 a.m. . Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. It is with Aaron in our hearts that we should all be so lucky to have his spirit and will to live despite the struggles he faced. The battle took a toll on his body, but Aaron never stopped fighting. We will never forget you Aaron. May you rest in peace knowing that angels will surround you always.
