Abner English, Jr.

Abner W. English, Jr. of Lubbock, formerly of La Pryor, passed away on July 30, 2017 at his residence at the age of 68. He was born on October 18, 1948 in Uvalde to Abner W. English, Sr. and Barbara Berry English. He is survived by his father, Abner W. English, Sr. of La Pryor; daughter, Pallie English of Lubbock; sister, Sandy Handley and husband, Pat of Utopia; grandchildren, Julie English and Tyler English; niece, Patti Harter and husband, Donald of Pleasanton; nephew, Michael Handley and wife, Michelle of Stephenville; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM at La Pryor Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clay Clifton, Jerry Speer, Irl Van Cleve, Raul Benavides, Jerry McHazlett, and Kenny Oliphant. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Guerra, Charlie Hale, Mike Kirk, Scott Bookout, and Mike Morris.
