Ada Crawford

Ada Ruth Rieber Crawford of Utopia passed away on January 22, 2009 in her residence at the age of 84. She was born on September 14, 1924 in Utopia, Texas to Jesse and Mina Storms. She married Duane Crawford in Utopia, Texas on February 14, 1993. She is survived by her husband of 15 years Duane Crawford of Utopia, Texas; three step-daughters; Kathy Harrison and husband, David of Knoxville, Tennessee; Margaret Thompson and husband, Mike of Carrizo Springs, Texas; and La Verne Gerwick and husband, Mike of Bacliff, Texas; one son; Larry Rieber and wife, Debbie of Austin, Texas; one brother; Gerald Storms of Temple, Texas; two grandchildren; thirteen step-grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband; Clinton Rieber; one sister; Millie Moore; and two brothers; Jim and Hubert Storms. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at 4:00 PM at Utopia Baptist Church with burial to follow in Jones Cemetery. David Vernon will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Everett Boyce, Ray Tampke, Jack Farmer, Reagan Mazurek, Robert Mazurek, Johnny Webb, and Fernando Torres. Honorary Pallbearers will be Max Amann, Sid Mauldin, Leslie Mazurek, Frank Jones, Billy Moore, Charles Bomer, John Hillis, David Hillis, Jack McClain and S.J. Carson. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Utopia EMS, Utopia, Texas 78884; and Utopia Baptist Church building Fund, Utopia, Texas 78884.
