Adan Arnold Aviles (the tamale guy) of Uvalde passed away on October 7, 2017 at Vitas Hospice in San Antonio at the age of 55. He was born on December 19, 1961 in Chicago Heights Illinois to Patricio V and Edith (Faught) Aviles. He married Delia Rivera in Uvalde on August 22, 1979.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years; sons Adrian Adam Aviles and wife, Regina and Andrew Justin Aviles and wife, Christina all of Uvalde; sisters, Hilda and husband, Jose Hinojosa of San Antonio, Gilda Sebeck and husband, Steve of Chicago, Illinois; brothers, Avery Aviles and wife, Missy of Port Huron Michigan, Randy Aviles and Danny Aviles both of Racine, Wisconsin, Omar Aviles and wife, Susan of Arroyo Grande, California and Ernest Aviles and wife, Molly of Dallas; grandchildren, Ashlynn Aviles, Alexander Aviles, Azriel Aviles, Alyson Aviles, Amaris Aviles and Axel Aviles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Patricio Aviles Jr., and Edith Aviles; Jeff Aviles, Art Aviles and Mike Aviles.
Prayer services will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m. at Rushing Estes Knowles Mortuary. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery.
