Mrs. Adela Marruffo Ybarra of Uvalde passed away on Friday, October 30, 2015 in San Antonio at the age of 74. Mrs. Ybarra was born on June 1, 1941 in Pecos County to Basilio and Felisa (Sosa) Marruffo. She married Roberto R. Ybarra on December 21, 1973 in Lubbock, Texas. Mrs. Ybarra is survived by her husband, Roberto R. Ybarra of 41 years; two daughters, Carolina Torres and husband LeRoy of Galesburg, Illinois and Mary Blanco of Lubbock, Texas; four sons, Angelo Blanco and wife Clara, Mario Blanco and wife Cecilia of Lubbock, Texas and Gerardo Blanco, Chris Blanco and Friend Blaine Carter all of Galesburg, Illinois; two sisters, Elena Hernandez and Delia Valdez both of Lubbock, Texas; three brothers, Segundo Marruffo and Augustine Marruffo both from Lubbock, Texas and Ezekiel Marruffo of Burleson, Texas; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ybarra is preceded in death by her son, Eduardo Blanco, parents, two sisters, Consuelo Castro and Berta Montemayor and brother, Jesus Marruffo.
A rosary will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2015 and Monday, November 2, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Timothy Blanco, Sam Lazdowski, Ben Lazdowski, Tino Blanco, Tyrone Taylor and Walt Lazdowski.
Cremation under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
