Adelfa De Leon

Adelfa G. De Leon of Uvalde passed away on January 16, 2023, at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 73.

She was born on January 18, 1949, in Uvalde, Texas to Natividad (Jimenez) and Tomas O. Garcia.

She married Armando B. De Leon in Uvalde on September 27, 1969.

She is survived by her four daughters, Paula Mae De Leon and husband, Alden Rodrigues of Batesville, Denella España and husband, Ubaldo of Uvalde, Graciela De Leon of Uvalde, and Monica Bryan and husband, Chris of San Antonio; three sons, Guillermo De Leon and wife, Kim of Kyle, Juan Jose De Leon of Moore, and Jeremy Gregory De Leon of Austin; sisters, Florinda Salazar of Uvalde, Hermila Ibarra of California, Georgina Torres of San Antonio, and San Juanita Garcia of Wisconsin; brothers, Armando Garcia of Wisconsin, Tomas Garcia of Converse, Santos Garcia of Indiana, Jose Elias Garcia of San Antonio, and Arnoldo Garcia of Wisconsin; 12 grandchildren, one great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving aunt, Eufemia J. Martinez, and brother, Leopoldo Garcia.

Visitation will begin on Friday, January 20, 2023, at 3 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Guillermo De Leon, Juan Jose De Leon, Jeremy De Leon, Fabian Rodrigues, Andres Salazar, Karl Kaiser, and Ubaldo España.
