Alberto Vega of Alpine passed away on November 9, 2016 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 84. He was born on October 3, 1932 in Terlingua to Thomas and Luciana (Granado) Vega. He is survived by his wife, Lupe Vega of Alpine; two daughters, Rose Bryant and husband, Pete of Midland, TX and Cynthia Holley and husband, Butch of Uvalde; son, Henry Vega and wife, Clara of Alpine; sister, Herminia Covarrubias and husband, Joe of Alpine; and five brothers, Thomas Vega and wife, Teresa; Romulo Vega, Palemon Vega and wife, Felicita; and Jose Luis Vega, and wife, Barbara, all of Alpine; and Chuy Vega of Grand Falls, TX; and 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren with two on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Corina Muniz. Mr. Vega was a Korean War veteran.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Alpine.
