Alejandro Gonzales, Jr.

Alejandro C. Gonzales, Jr. of Uvalde passed away on July 12, 2015 in San Antonio at the age of 86. He was born on May 17, 1929 to Alejandro Gonzales, Sr. and Maria Carbajal Gonzales. He married Ofelia Aviles on July 15, 1951 in Uvalde. She preceded him in death in 2008. He is survived by two sons, Alejandro Gonzales III and wife, Sandra of Uvalde; and Alfredo Gonzales and wife, Sulema of Castroville; three sisters, Rosa Flores of Eagle Pass, Hortencia De Leon of Uvalde, and Sulema Hidalgo of Monahans, TX; two brothers, Reyes Gonzales of South Carolina and Jose Maria Gonzales of Odessa; five grandchildren, Leslie Ann Luna, Javier Gonzales, Matthew Gonzales, Patrick Gonzales, and Ana Alicia Gonzales; and two great-grandchildren, Xandria and Sebastian Perez. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Rodolfo Gonzales; and sister, Fernanda Hoffman. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic School.
