Alejandro Reyes

Alejandro Reyes of Uvalde passed away on March 29, 2017 at his residence at the age of 86. Mr. Reyes was born April 24, 1930 in Menard, Texas to Teresa (Flores) and Fermin Reyes. He married Carmen Luna on July 14, 1948 in Uvalde.
He is survived by his daughter, Maria Elena Morales of Uvalde; three sisters, Nancy R. Garcia and husband Edmundo, Elisa Canales and Herlinda Zamora Reyes all of Uvalde; two brothers, Rev. Raul Reyes of San Antonio and Jose Reyes of Uvalde; grandchildren, Fernando Morales and wife, Patricia, Monica Bates and husband, Jay, Esmeralda Franco and husband ,Cesar, Elsa Morales and companion ,Martin Hernandez, Raymundo Morales and companion ,Vanessa Rodriguez, Maria E. Sanchez and husband ,Marco and Christina Pena and husband ,Corey; 20 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife; parents; brother, Miguel Reyes and grandson Alejandro Morales.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A rosary will be held Friday, March 31, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing Estes Knowles. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
