Alfredo Menchaca

Alfredo R. Menchaca of La Pryor passed away on February 21, 2017 at the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 91. He was born on January 6, 1926 in Junction, Texas to Abraham and Micaela (Rodriguez) Menchaca.
He is survived by his wife, Natalia Acosta Menchaca of La Pryor; daughters, Martha Bueno and husband, Raymundo Gonzales of Kyle, Victoria Olvera and husband, Jerry of San Antonio, Maria Elena Menchaca, Maria Isabel Menchaca and husband, Epharim Gomez, all of Hondo, Natalia Vasquez of La Pryor, Margarita "Petty" Garcia and husband, Arturo, Teresa Mancha and husband, Arturo all of Eagle Pass and Linda Martinez of San Antonio; sons, Alfredo Menchaca, Jr. of La Pryor, Armando Menchaca and wife, Blasina of Ft. Hood; step sons, Humberto Bueno and Ernesto Bueno both of Piedras Negras; brother, Armando Menchaca of Eagle Pass; 26 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
A prayer service will be held on Thursday and Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at La Pryor Cemetery.
