Alfredo Sanchez

Alfredo Garza Sanchez of Batesville passed away on April 17, 2019 in San Antonio at the age of 79.  He was born on August 17, 1939 in Santa Rosa, Texas to Juan and Juanita (Garza) Sanchez.  He married Maria Nava in Batesville, Texas on October 15, 1966

He is survived by his wife of Batesville of 52 years; daughters, Eloisa Gomez and husband, Margarito of Hondo, Olga Cuellar and husband, Bardo, Maruca Reyes, Lali Narvaiz all of Houston and Alejandra Alcozer of Hondo; sons, Juan Sanchez and wife, Elisia, Ramiro Sanchez and wife, Cristina all of Batesville, Alfredo Sanchez and wife, Cruz of Houston, and Eloy Ramos and wife Patty of Holland, Michigan; sister, Adela Galvan of Combes, Janie Dicus of Santa Rosa; and brothers, Saul Sanchez of Santa Rosa and Apolonio Sanchez of Brownsville; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Anselmo Sanchez and sister, Josie Flores.

Visitation will begin on Friday at 12:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A prayer service will be held on Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  Interment will follow at Batesville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Juan Sanchez, Ramiro Sanchez, Mathew Sanchez, Eliberto Sanchez, Jose Ayala and Eduardo Munoz.
