Alice B. Lopez of Uvalde passed away on March 24, 2020 at Main Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 74. She was born on November 8, 1945 in Uvalde to Rodolfo V. and Guadalupe (Ibarra) Lopez.
She was a member of the Guadalupanas, money counter at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church and volunteered at St. Henry de Oso. She retired from Southwest Texas Junior College where she was a secretary for many years.
She is survived by her sisters, Alida Lopez of Uvalde and Ana L. Martinez of San Antonio and her children, Ernest Martinez, Daniel Martinez, and Samuel Martinez; brother, Rudy Lopez and wife, Adelaida of Houston and their children, Kristy McInnis, Johnny Lopez, and Kathy Wilson, brother, Bobby Lopez and wife, MaryAnn of Houston and their children, Joseph Lopez, Matthew Lopez, and Caroline Lopez; and numerous grandnephews and grandnieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Because of the declaration of the state of emergency in Texas, Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary will only allow 10 people at a time. This can be done in rotating shifts to accommodate families. We thank you for your cooperation at this time of national disaster.
