Alicia Arizmendi

Alicia De Hoyos Arizmendi formally of Uvalde passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 in San Antonio at the age of 89. She was born on February 23, 1925 in Uvalde to Crispin and Tomasa (Talavera) De Hoyos. She married Gilbert Arizmendi in Uvalde on October 31, 1948. She is survived by her son, Gil Arizmendi and wife Lottie of San Antonio; sister, Genoveva Morales of Uvalde; brother, Crispin De Hoyos of San Antonio; two grandchildren, Laura Kingsley and husband Cary and Gil C. Arizmendi and wife Dora; five great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert Arizmendi, parents, three brothers, Rudy De Hoyos, Jose J. De Hoyos and Antonio De Hoyos. A rosary will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 30. 2015 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gil D. Arizmendi, Gil C. Arizmendi, Cary Kingsley, Gil S. Arizmendi, Roberto Morales and Daniel Morales.
