Alvino Rios

Alvino V. Rios Sr. of Batesville passed away on September 15, 2009 at his residence at the age of 73. He was born on March 31, 1936 in Batesville, Texas to Jose and Bartola Rios. He married Isabel Garza on March 24, 1959 in Batesville, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Isabel G. Rios of Batesville, Texas; seven sons; Alvino Rios Jr. and wife, Estella of Uvalde, Texas; Jose Luis Rios and wife, Anna; Esvardo Rios and wife, Amy; Noe Rios; Bernardo Rios and wife, Tanya; Marco Antonio and wife, Linda all of Batesville, Texas; and Rolando Rios and wife, Diana of Germany; two sisters; Jesusa Garza of Idaho; and Luisa Rodriguez of Wisconsin; two brothers; Pablo Rios of Lytle, Texas; and Miguel Rios of Wisconsin; thirteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son; Abel Rios; brother; Pedro Rios; two sisters; Tomasa Rios and Anita Morones. A rosary will be held on Thursday and Friday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Batesville with burial to follow in Batesville Cemetery.
