Amado Garcia

Amado Cruz Garcia of Uvalde passed away July 17, 2016 at Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 88. He was born on September 12, 1927 in North Dakota to Pablo Garcia and Cecilia (Cruz) Garcia. He married Esperanza Rodriguez in Uvalde in the 1969. He is survived by his daughter, Jeanette A. Vidal; son, Amado Garcia Jr. and wife Linda; four grandchildren, Miguel Angel Vidal, Esperanza Maria Vidal, Amado Garcia III and Karina Oralia Garcia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews all of Uvalde.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two sisters Maria Luisa Gomez and Aurelia Garcia, and one brother Luis Garcia.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A rosary will be held Monday and Tuesday at 7:00pm. Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
