Amanda A. Ybarra, a beloved daughter, mother, sister and friend, passed away on June 18th, 2023 at the age of 44 in Williamsport, PA. She was born on April 5th, 1979 in San Diego, CA to Robert Ybarra and Elizabeth Page.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 29 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and interment of ashes will follow at Uvalde Catholic Cemetery.
During her life, Amanda worked as an Administrative Assistant in the hospitality industry, specifically for hotels. Her interests included theater, which she majored in during college, and volunteering at the Pajama Factory, where she assisted models. She was also a dedicated supporter of the SPCA, advocating for animal welfare.
Amanda had a strong bond with her cats, Bobby Ray, Rosie, and Clouse. She lovingly cared for them and they brought her great joy throughout her life.
Amanda is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Gloria and Camilo Aguirre, her uncle Camilo Aguirre Jr., her aunt Elsa Rodriguez, and her paternal grandfather, Valentin Ybarra.
She is survived by her father Robert Ybarra, mother Elizabeth Page, significant other Harry Reeder, daughter Gabriella Sims, grandson Jackson, sisters; Gloria Barros (Walter) and Margaret Aguirre, stepchildren; Harry ReederJr., Marcus Reeder, Celestia Reeder and Bryce Reeder, her uncle Jesse Aguirre (Diana), aunt Belinda Pena, and aunt and godmother Melinda Aguirre. Also left to cherish her memory is, grandmother Julia Ybarra; uncles, Valentin (Diane), Antonio, Arnulfo, Santiago (Donna), Roy (Hyesong), Jesse (RaeAnna), and David (Elizabeth), Aunts; Annette Preble and Julia (Logan) Heckathorn and numerous cousins from both sides of the family.
The memory of Amanda's kind heart, generous spirit, and dedication to her loved ones will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
