Ambrocia Rizo

Ambrocia Cruz Rizo of San Antonio passed away on March 29, 2009 in her residence at the age of 100. She was born December 7, 1908 in Devine, Texas to Jesus and Manuelita Cruz. She is survived by two daughters; Guadalupe Rizo and Maria Leticia Rizo both of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren; Carlos Hernandez; Franchesca Hernandez; Amber Zavala; Jesus Rizo, and Roland Garcia; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesus Rizo; and five brothers and two sisters. A rosary will be held on Tuesday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Batesville with burial to follow in St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery in Devine, Texas. Pallbearers will be Carlos Hernandez, Jesus Rizo, Joe Cruz, Benito Cruz, and Pascual Cruz. Honorary pallbearers will be Gavin Hernandez and Rolando Garcia.
