Amelia Gonzales

Mrs. Amelia Jacques Gonzales of Sabinal passed away on April 8, 2015 at Vitas Hospice in San Antonio at the age of 82. Mrs. Gonzales was born on April 18, 1932 in Ballinger, Texas to Saturdino and Maria de la Luz (Gomez) Jacques. She married Ramon Gonzales on November 15, 1955 in Plainview, Texas. Mrs. Gonzales is survived by six daughters, Rosalinda Gonzales of Uvalde; Mary Lou Valdez and husband Paul of Newbury Park, California; Gloria Urrita and husband Carlos of Del Rio; Sonia Arteaga and husband Leo of Odessa; Angie Gonzales and companion Raymond Williams of San Antonio; Marisa Gonzales and fiancé Krist Alaniz of Uvalde; five sons, Manuel Jacques of Petersburg, Texas; Freddie Gonzales and wife Rosie of Uvalde; Ramon Gonzales Jr. and wife Elida of Uvalde; Alexander "Alex" Gonzales and wife Cynthia of Corpus Christi; Mario Gonzales and wife Gloria of Uvalde; two sisters, Lydia Gonzales and husband Asencion of Plainview; Yolanda Jacques and companion Orlando Lopez of Ballinger; two brothers, Jim Jacques of Arizona; Ruben Jacques and wife Rosalinda of Sabinal; thirty-two grandchildren; forty-one great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gonzales was preceded in death by her husband, Ramon Gonzales, parents, one sister, Beatrice Aleman, one brother, Joe Jacques, great-granddaughter, Monique Rocha and niece, Robin Jacques. A rosary will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 and Friday, April 10, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church with burial to follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Freddie Gonzales, Ramon Gonzales, Jr., Alexander "Alex" Gonzales, Mario Gonzales, Sonia Arteaga and Angie Gonzales. Honorary pallbearers are Raymond Gonzales, Abel Gonzales, Manuel Noe Jacques Jr., George Valdez, Ramon Gonzales III, Charles "CJ" Rodriguez Jr., Billy Sanders and Jermine Lewis.
