Amelia Rose Padilla

Amelia Rose Padilla of Uvalde was born and passed away on February 9, 2024, at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowle Mortuary.   A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.  

She is survived by her parents Alexis (Fernandez) and Anthony Padilla, Jr. of Uvalde; paternal grandmother, Antoinette Briseño of Uvalde; paternal grandfather, Anthony Padilla, Sr. of Uvalde; maternal grandparents, Moses and Elia Fernandez, Sr. of Uvalde; paternal great grandmother, Annette Briseño of Uvalde, paternal great grandmother, Maria Leticia Padilla of Uvalde, paternal great grandfather, Juan Garza of Uvalde; maternal great grandparents, Antonio and Anita Espinoza of Uvalde; sister, Ava Marie Padilla of Uvalde; brother, Anthony Padilla, III of Uvalde; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Eduardo and Maria Guadalupe Fernandez; paternal great grandfather, Antonio “Tony” Briseño, Sr.; and two uncles, Mark Rodriguez and Antonio “AJ” Briseño, Jr.
