Amparo Gonzales

Amparo G. Gonzales of Uvalde passed away on May 26, 2012 at Christus Santa Rosa Westoverhills Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 59. She was born on January 31, 1953 in Uvalde to Edmundo and Jesusita Moreno Garza. She married Jose E. Papa Joe Gonzales in Uvalde on November 9, 1974. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, daughter, Jessica Ann Gonzales and husband Emmanuel Zamora of Uvalde, son, Jose E. Gonzales Jr. and wife Genesia of Uvalde, sister, Sally Ortiz and husband Rolando of Hutto, stepmother, Bertha R. Garza of Uvalde, grandchildren, Yadira A. Gonzales, Emmanuel E.J. Zamora Jr., Karlos Castillo, Kaleb Castillo, and Kaitlyn Castillo and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents. A rosary will be held on Tuesday May 29, 2012 and Wednesday May 30, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday May 31, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Castillo, David Vela Jr., Brian Ortiz, Sergio Ortiz, Rolando Edmundo Ortiz, Jose Luis Gonzales, Andres Cardenas, John Espinoza, Efrian Perez and Alfred Velasquez.
