Anastacia Lara

Anastacia Lara of Uvalde passed away on July 11, 2013 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 93. She was born on May 1, 1920 in Fort Stockton, Texas to Eduardo and Marcela Galindo Gonzales. She is survived by her daughters Ana Lara, Olivia Aguero and husband Robert, and Elsa Rivera and husband Fidencio all of Uvalde sons, Modesto Lara and wife Dyan of Houston, Ernesto Lara and wife Velma of Helotes, Robert Lara and wife Martha of Uvalde sisters, Elena Sanchez of Uvalde and Tomasa Nevarez of San Marcos 15 grandchildren 20 great grandchildren, 1 greatgreat grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents husband, Domingo Lara daughter, Alice Lara Carpenter brothers, Francisco Gonzales, Antonio Gonzales and Pedro Gonzales. A rosary will be held on Thursday and Friday at 7:00 p.m. at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Uvalde Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Fidencio Rivera Jr., David Langlinais, Peter Gonzales, Fernando Garcia, Javier Lara, James Cramer, Antonio Lara and Hector Gonzales.
