Andres Juan Cardenas of Uvalde passed away on November 5, 2012 at Texsan Methodist Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 63. He was born on August 26, 1949 in Saginaw, Michigan to Amador and Beatrice Trevino Cardenas. He is survived by his mother, Beatrice Cardenas of Crystal City daughters, Amy Cardenas Verastigue and husband Genaro of Uvalde, Christina Cardenas and husband Rojelio Reyes of San Marcos sons, John Andrew Cardenas Jr., Adrian Cardenas and wife Monica Frausto , Angel Cardenas all of Uvalde, Richard Cardenas and wife Missy of Carrizo Springs sisters, Alicia Talamantes of San Antonio, Anita Criel of Crystal City brother, Alberto Cardenas of Crystal City, 17 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father brother, Abelardo Cardenas and sister, Aurora Cardenas. A rosary will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Christopher Reyes, Rogelio Reyes Jr., Frank Rangel, Juan Martinez, Mariano Pargas II, Mariano Pargas III, Fernando Talamantes, Armando Talamantes Jr., Abelardo Cardenas Jr., Gilbert Martinez, John Espinoza and Joe Gonzales.
