Andres Velasquez, Jr.

Andres Velasquez Jr. of Batesville passed away on August 10, 2015 at his residence at the age of 65. He was born on September 5, 1949 in Dilley, Texas to Andres and Juanita (Gonzales) Velasquez. He married Alma Rosa Aviles on May 23, 1971 in Villa Union, Coahuila, Mexico. He is survived by his wife of 44 years of Batesville; son, Andres Velasquez III and wife Clara of Uvalde; daughters, Juanita Diaz, Lupita Velasquez and companion Danny Reyes all of Uvalde, Elsa Velasquez and partner, Katharine Natal of San Marcos; sisters, Paula Cruz of Uvalde and Florencia Perea of San Jose California; 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harvey Velasquez; sisters, Lydia Diaz, and Juanita Maldonado; and sons in law, Raymundo Diaz and Ricardo Martinez. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Iglesia Templo Hermoso in Batesville. Pallbearers will be Danny Reyes, Marc Diaz, Raymundo Diaz, Jose Luis Diaz, Gabino Galindo, Eugene Canales.
