Angelica Piña Gonzales

Angelica Piña Gonzales, of San Antonio, formerly of Uvalde, passed away surrounded by her family

She was born on September 3, 1945, in Uvalde to Julia (Garza) and Jose Maria Piña.

She married Armando Gonzales in Uvalde on February 14, 1965.

She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Rocha and husband, Toby of St. Peters Missouri and Suzette Ybarra of San Antonio; son, Johnny Gonzales and wife, Lille of Wimberley; grandchildren, Marcos Ybarra, Julia Mae Gonzales, and Ace Gonzales; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Armando Gonzales and daughter, Patty Angie Gonzales.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at 5pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. On Wednesday, August 2, 2023, there will be an all-day viewing with a Rosary at 7pm that evening.

A funeral mass will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023, at 10am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Gonzales, Toby Rocha, Marcos Ybarra, Victor Guzman, Mario Guiterrez, and David Vela, Jr.

Honorary pallbearer will be Ace Gonzales
