Anita Garza

Anita P. Garza of Uvalde passed away on September 20, 2017 at her residence at the age of 74. She was born on July 26, 1943 in Uvalde to Juan Weaver Perez and Filomena (Morales) Perez. She married Alfredo Garza in Uvalde on December 22, 1958. He preceded her in death. She is survived by six daughters, Delia Guevara and husband, Francisco Guevara, Jr.; Irene Garza; Angelita Ortega; Mary Ann Gonzales and husband, Bobby; Monica Marisa Garza; and Elizabeth Garza; son, Alfred Garza, Jr.; two brothers,
Juan Perez, Jr. and wife, Ernestina; and Francisco Perez and wife, Lydia, all of Uvalde; sister, Alicia Rocha and husband, Sostenes, Jr., of Castroville and Natividad Perez of Uvalde; and 22 grandchildren, Francisco Guevara III; Jose Alfredo Guevara; Jose Alfredo Chavez; Javier Francisco Chavez; Billy Ray Foutz, Jr.; Angelica Maria Ortega; Julie Ann Camacho; Michelle Jordan Ortega; Bobby Gonzales, Jr.; Brianna Anita Gonzales; Bianca Natividad Perez; Rene Lara, Jr.; Chelsea Renee Lara; Anna Gabriellea Lara; Jose Antonio Martinez; Alfred Garza III; Christopher Carbajal; Laura Elizabeth Garza; Stephanie Ann Polanco; Brittany Ann Polanco; Patrick Lee Rodriguez, Jr.; and Lucas Lee Rodriguez; numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Refugio Perez; and brother-in-law, Rito Perez, Sr. A rosary will be held Sunday and Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Alfred Garza, Jr.; Alfred Garza, III; Jose Antonio Martinez; Jose Alfredo Guevara; Jose Alfredo Chavez; Bobby Gonzales, Jr.; Rene Lara, Jr.; and Patrick Lee Rodriguez, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Ray Foutz, Jr.; Michelle Jordan Ortega; Lucas Lee Rodriguez; and Javier Francisco Chavez.
