Anita Gonzales

Mrs. Anita V. Gonzales of Uvalde passed away at her residence on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the age of 92. Mrs. Gonzales was born on January 13, 1923 in Uvalde to Manuel and Natalia (Avila) Valverde. She is survived by two daughters, Elma Negrete and Esdula Gomez both of Uvalde; one son, Armando Gonzales of San Antonio; ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gonzales is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Elma Gonzales, one brother, Celestino Valverde and one granddaughter, Patty Gonzales. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary and a Vigil Service on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church with burial to follow at Uvalde Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Johnny Gonzales, Robert Negrete, Rick Ballesteros, Mario Gutierrez, Felipe Negrete and Jonathan Camacho.
