Anna Mae Braden, age 93, of Uvalde, Texas, peacefully passed away on November 21 2024, at her home.

Born on May 18, 1931, in Jamaica, New York, she was the cherished daughter of Katherine (Timozek) and Ralph Petone. 

On December 2, 1950, Anna married James Joseph Braden in El Paso, Texas, and together they built a loving family.

Anna is survived by her two daughters, Anna Jane “Janie” Clifton of Uvalde and Carol Kay of Comanche; and her three sons, Michael Braden of Sabinal, James R. Braden and his wife, Margie of Westoff, and Paul Braden and his wife, Jackie Russell of New Braunfels. She was a proud grandmother to many, including Katherine Looney and her husband, Jim of St. Joseph Island, Georgia; Melanie Heller and her husband, Justin of League City, Texas; Tony Braden and his wife, AJ of San Angelo; Amanda Mantor and her husband, Albert of San Antonio; Chris Braden-Worth and husband, Dana Worth of San Francisco, California; Cheryl Braden and her husband, James McGavran of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; Marcie Braden and her husband, Dan McArdle of North Granby, Connecticut; Matt Braden and his companion, Darian “Red” Scites of Flintville, Tennessee; Ashley King and her husband, Chris of Troutman, North Carolina; Coby Kay and his wife, Kimberly of Comanche, Texas; James Kay of Brackettville, Texas; and Danielle Jenscke and her husband, Corey of Kerrville. Anna also adored her 22 great-grandchildren, Philippa Worth, Camilla Worth, Ryan Mantor, AJ Mantor, Maddy Looney, Emily De La Rosa, Audrey Heller, Natalie Heller, Felicity Heller, James McArdle, Avery McArdle, Dakotah Francisco, Lucas King, Aleah Braden, Michaela Braden, Zoe Braden, Lawrence Braden and wife, Olivia, Kylie Kay, Bowen Kay, Everett Kay, Brynlynn Jenscke, Everly Jenscke; and her great-great-grandchildren, Oliver Braden and Lorenzo Braden.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, James Joseph Braden, and her daughter, Patricia Joan Braden.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 9 a.m. at Sabinal Cemetery.

Anna Mae Braden leaves behind a legacy of love and family that will be cherished by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
