Miss Antonia De La Cruz "Nena" Aguilera, age 100, formally of Uvalde passed away April 28, 2017 in Pasadena. Miss Aguilera was born September 21, 1916 in Uvalde to Jesus and Zapopa (De La Cruz) Aguilera. She is survived by special niece Anna Belia Al-Hakam of Pasadena, great nieces, Elma Elizondo of League City and Melva Trevino of Pasadena and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. Miss Aguilera is preceded in death her parents, two sisters, Emilia Aguilera and Maria Martinez, three brothers, Jesus Aguilera Jr., Jose Aguilera and Frank Aguilera.
A rosary will be held on Monday at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Resurrection will be Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 2:00pm at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church with interment to follow at Uvalde Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ernest Gutierrez, Joe Gutierrez, Rafael Gutierrez, Danny Gutierrez, Roberto Aguilera and Juan Aguilera.
