Antonia Esparza

Antonia Esparza passed away on January 21, 2014 in Uvalde at the age of 84. She was born on June 25, 1929 in Batesville to Julian and Rosa Rodriguez Rios. She married Jose Guadalupe Esparza in Crystal City. He preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter Oralia Martinez and her husband Larry of La Pryor, son David Rodriguez of Florida, sisters Petra Mendez of Florida and Victoria Ramos of Batesville, 10 grandchildren Larry Martinez, Jr., Lori Martinez, Joe Adrian Martinez, Michael Martinez, Sandy Martinez, Patty Rodriguez, Johnny Joe Martinez, Lalo Rodriguez, Mario Esparza, Jr. and Blanca Hernandez, 22 great grandchildren, 7greatgreat grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Eulario Rodriguez, grandsons David Rodriguez and Julian Rodriguez, sisters Librada Medina and Cerilda Sanchez, brothers Domingo Rios, Casamiro Rios and Victorino Rios. A rosary will be held on the 23rd and 24th of January at 7:00 pm at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. Funeral mass will be on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 3:30 pm at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Batesville. Burial will follow at St. Patricks Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Martinez, Jr., Joe Adrian Martinez, Mario Esparza, Jr., Julian Rodriguez, Jr., Johnny Joe Rodriguez and Josh Hernandez.
