Antonia R. Garza

Antonia R. Garza, 82, of La Pryor passed away on October 16, 2023, at her residence.

She was born on June 14, 1941, in Mexico to Martina (Guerrero) and Pablo Rodriguez.

She married Juan Garza in Progresso, Mexico.

She is survived by her husband, Juan Garza of La Pryor; daughter, Maria Guadalupe Flores and husband, Pedro Martin of La Pryor; two sons, Juan Fidencio Garza and wife, Edelmira of Uvalde and Heliodoro Garza and wife, Yamira Gabriela of La Pryor; three sisters, Elia Viera of Monclova, Mexico, Elena Arriaga of Laredo, Mexico and Romelia De Hoyos of Progresso, Mexico; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ernestina Martinez; and brother, Eliseo Rodriguez. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 3 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in La Pryor.  Interment will follow at La Pryor Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be Johnny Joe Garza, Juan Fidencio Garza, Jr., Jonathan Emanuel Garza, Abel Diaz, III, Julian Pablo Flores, and Valentin Garza
