Antonia Torres

Antonia Z. Torres of Uvalde passed away on May 3, 2014 in Uvalde at the age of 96. She was born on September 11, 1917 in Hondo, Texas to Jose and Rosa Morales Zavala. She married Eutimio Torres on February 7, 1930 in Hondo, Texas. She is survived by four daughters, Julia Guzman Elida T. Moreno, Andrea T. Moreno and husband Jesse R. and Antonia Rios all of Uvalde two sons, Gilberto Torres and wife Maria of Uvalde and Alejandro Torres and wife Sulema of San Antonio four sisters, Rita Gamez of Iowa, Maria Acosta of Uvalde, Angelina Del Rio and Emma Pesina both from San Angelo twentyfour grandchildren and numerous great and greatgreat grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Eutimio Torres sons Valentin Torres and Eutimio Torres Jr., sisters, Clara Terrazas and Consuelo Garza brother, Jose Zavala Jr. soninlaws Victor Guzman Sr., Horacio Moreno and Joe Rios daughterinlaw Erika Torres three grandchildren, Albert Alvarez, Noelia Perez and Jesse T. Moreno Jr. and three great grandchildren David Musquiz, Joshua Alvarez and Arturo Bermea Jr. A vigil will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 7:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Monday May 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in Uvalde Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tony T. Moreno, Victor Guzman Jr., Richard Torres, Gilbert Torres Jr., Raymond Torres and Robert Torres. Honorary pallbearer will be Albert Moreno.
