Antonino Gomez

Antonino Tony Musquis Gomez of Uvalde passed away on January 13, 2008 at his residence in Uvalde at the age of 70. He was born on July 12, 1937 in La Pryor, Texas to Angel and Petra Gomez. He is survived by his wife Margarita Zamora of Uvalde; daughters; Irma Velasquez and husband, Jose; Alicia Aguilar and husband, Albert Jr.; Amy Aguilera and husband, Ramon; Sally Contreras and husband, Ramiro; and Patty Enriquez all of Uvalde; step-daughters; Sally Alvarez; Sylvia Samora; and Sofia Samora all of Uvalde; step-sons; Sam Samora and Esteban Longoria; both of Uvalde; sisters; Elena Martinez; Janie Prado; and Angie Aguinaga all of Uvalde; step-brother; Antonio Rodriguez of Uvalde; 13 grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; Ashlyn and Shaelyn Velasquez; 4 step-great granchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; former spouse; Herlinda Arroyos; 1 son; and 1 grandson. A rosary will be held on Monday and Tuesday at 7:00 PM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Fr. Wieslaw Iwaniec will officiate. Pallbearers will be grandsons; Joey Velasquez; Tres Aguilera; Rudy Enriquez; RJ Contreras; Albert Aguilar III; David Aguilera; and Noah Contreras.
