Armando De Leon

Armando Bernal De Leon of Hondo, Texas passed away on December 22, 2008 at his residence at the age of 59. He was born on September 23, 1949 in Uvalde, Texas to Guillermo and Paula De Leon Sr. He married Adelfa Garcia in Uvalde, Texas on September 27, 1969. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Adelfa G. De Leon of Uvalde, Texas; three daughters; Paula Mae Rodrigues and husband, Alden of Batesville, Texas; Danella De Leon and Graciela De Leon both of Uvalde, Texas; two sons; Guillermo De Leon and wife, Danielle of Kyle, Texas; Juan Jose De Leon and wife, Monica of Hondo, Texas; two sisters; Delia Musquiz of College Station; and Velma Roman and husband, Henry of Uvalde, Texas; loved as his own, Monica Ramirez and Jeremy De Leon; special companion; Inez D. Schmidt De Leon with daughters Beckey and Ashley Schmidt all of Hondo, Texas; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother; Guillermo De Leon Jr. A rosary will be held on Monday and Tuesday at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Henry Roman, Enrique Roman Jr., Fidencio Rivera, Ascencio Ruiz, Sostenes Rocha Jr., and Alberto Aguilar. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Cuffman, Jose Garcia III, and Jose Almaraz.
