Armando Gonzales

Armando Gonzales of San Antonio, formerly of Uvalde passed away on December 9, 2020 at PAM Specialty Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 74.  He was born on December 25, 1945 in Uvalde to Ernest and Anita (Valverde) Gonzales.

Armando married Angelica Pina in Uvalde on February 14, 1966.

He is survived by his wife Angelica of 54 years; daughter, Bonnie Rocha and husband, Toby of St. Peters, Missouri and Suzette Ybarra of San Antonio; son, Johnny Gonzales and wife, Lille of Wimberley; sisters, Elma Negrete and Esdula Gomez both of Uvalde; brother, Ernie Gonzales of Boston, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Marcos Ybarra, Julia Gonzales and Ace Gonzales; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Patty Angie Gonzales; brother, Edmundo Gonzales and sister, Elma Gonzales.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Gonzales, Toby Rocha, Marcos Ybarra, Ace Gonzales, Ricky Ballesteros, and Mario Guiterrez
