Armando Luna of Uvalde passed away on August 18, 2014 at Amistad nursing home in Uvalde at the age of 81. He was born on July 18, 1933 in Musquiz Coahuila, Mexico to Antonio and Margarita Lerma Luna. He married Erlinda Flores on June 2, 1956 in Coahuila, Mexico. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, son Antonio Luna and wife Maricela of Uvalde, daughters Alicia Santos and husband Arnulfo and Irma Gonzalez both of San Antonio, Rosalinda Castillo and husband Baldo of Uvalde, Lidia Santos and husband Victor, Sr., of Uvalde, Armandina Patino of San Antonio and Elsa Barboza and husband Fermin of Uvalde, brothers Jose Cruz Luna, Ponciano Luna, Ascencio Luna and Leopoldo Luna nineteen grandchildren, thirtysix grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Antonio Luna and Margarita Lerma, sister Luz Elena Castillo Luna. A rosary will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:00 pm at RushingEstesKnowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Arnulfo Santos, Jr. Victor Santos, Jr. Ricardo Trevino, Abel Castillo, Alfredo Villanueva and Antonio Luna Jr.
