Armando Pena

Armando Quintanilla Pena of Uvalde passed away on August 6, 2012 in Uvalde, Texas at the age of 83. He was born on July 11, 1929 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Romulo and Maria de Jesus Gonzales Pena. He married Delfina Tobar on January 31, 1957. He is survived by his wife of 55 years three daughters Gloria Ramos and husband, Jose of Uvalde, Texas: Norma De Leon and husband, Andres of Uvalde, Texas Corina Morales and husband, Mariano of San Antonio, Texas two sons Juan Armando Pena and wife, Rosalinda of Houston, Texas and Alfonso Pena of Uvalde, Texas one brother Antonio Pena of Mexico seven grandchildren Andy De Leon Jr., Christina De Leon Aviles, Alfonso Pena Jr., Stephanie Pena, Tiffany Pena, Joey Ramos and Laura Denise PenaRamos and four great grandchildren Ashlynn Aviles, Alexander Aviles, Azriel Aviles and Donovan Medina and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Rosa Linda Pena, four sisters Guadalupe Gomez, Ignacia Casas, Julia Pena and Josefa Serna two brothers Jesus Pena and Romulo Pena and one granddaughter, Laura Pena Ramos. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, August 8 and Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 7:00 PM at RushingEstesKnowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church . Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
