Arminta Rogers

Arminta Frances Rogers of Sabinal passed away on June 27, 2015 at her residence at the age of 89. She was born on July 11, 1925 in Medina, TX to Chester Clarence Allen and Willie Maude Mayfield Allen. She married Lester D. Rogers in San Antonio on October 3, 1943. He preceded her in death in 1995. She is survived by a daughter, Frances Jo Cave and husband, Kenneth of Sabinal; daughter-in-law, Dianne G. Rogers of San Antonio; sisters, Mona Seale of Medina and Linnie Beth Arquette of Utah; 4 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces; and caretaker and special friend, Peggy Hickman. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, David Wayne Rogers; and four brothers, C.C. Allen, Morris L. Allen, Alvin W. Allen, and Calvin C. Allen. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church in Sabinal. Rev. Monty Benson will officiate. Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Cave, Todd Cave, Clint Rogers, Scott Gray, Kenneth Verstuyft, and Jason LeJeune. Family visitation will be held at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal, Texas, on Sunday July 5 from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM.
