Arnold Lara

Arnold Chapoy Lara of Uvalde passed away on January 28, 2016 at his residence at the age of 83. He was born on January 18, 1933 in Uvalde to Ben Hidalgo and Leona Chapoy Hidalgo. He married Sandra Theisen in 1961 in Crystal City. He is survived by his wife of 54 years; two sons, Carlos Lara of Uvalde and Sean Lara of San Angelo; two daughters, Coleen Speas of Florida and Michelle Benavides of Uvalde; brothers, Ben Hidalgo, Frank Hidalgo, and Richard Lara, all of Uvalde; sister, Janice Estrada of Uvalde; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation was under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
