Arnoldo Alejandro Barrios

Arnoldo Alejandro Barrios, 77, of La Pryor died on March 19, 2025, at St. Luke’s hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

He was born on July 11, 1947, in Uvalde, Texas to Teresa Maldonado and Alejandro Barrios.

He is survived by his wife Gloria Barrios, daughters; Diana Barrios Carreon of Uvalde, Anaalicia Barrios and partner Leeroy Moncada, son; Arnold Barrios, Jr. of Lake Jackson, Texas, sisters; Veronica Hinojosa, Mary Alicia Gonzales, Maribel Obregon, Josephine Morales, brother; Alberto Barrios all of Uvalde, grandchildren; Jose B. Mejia, Arnold Barrios III, Cielo Moncada, Nolbert Moncada III, great-grandchildren; Joselyn Mejia, Audrey Mejia, Brenly Mejia, and Evelyn Mejia.

He is preceded in death by his parents; stepmom, Aurora Barrios; grand=daughter; Avery Mejia, and sister, Jayne Vasquez.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Jose Mejia, Arnold Barrios Jr., Arnold Barrios III, Ernest Hinojosa, Raymond Fuentes, Vale Mendoza Mario Carrillo and Raphael Mendoza Jr.

Visitation will begin on Monday, March 24, 2025, at 2 pm with a rosary at 7 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in La Pryor, Texas on Tuesday, March 25 at 10AM. Interment to follow at La Pryor Cemetery.
