Arturo "Art" Lopez Aguirre, age 48, of Uvalde passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017 in Castroville. Art was born on November 28, 1968 in Nueva Rosita, Mexico to Arturo and Ofelia (Lopez) Aguirre. He married Sandra Camacho on November 7, 2007 in Las Vegas. Art was a graduate of Uvalde High School, he was owner of Lunkers Grill, was a Pittsburg Steeler and Spurs fan, loved music, dancing, Bar-B-Que, cooking and most of all his family and friends. He is survived by his father, Arturo Aguirre of Uvalde; wife, Sandra C. Aguirre of Uvalde; five daughters, Ofelia Aguirre, Alyssa Aguirre, Kyra Aguirre, Natasha Ayala and Lisa Olivarez all of Uvalde; three sons, Arturo Aguirre, Jr., Miguel Aguirre and Emelio Ayala all of Uvalde; one brother, Hector Aguirre of Uvalde; four grandchildren, Kristina Ayala, Kendria Rodriguez, Kianna Rodriguez and Kaelyn Aguirre; father-in-law, Fidel Camacho of Uvalde. He was preceded in death by his mother and mother-in-law, Guadalupe G. Camacho.
A rosary will be held on Sunday, May 21 and Monday, May 22 at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary at 7:00 pm. Mass of Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Hector Aguirre, Daniel Salas, Neto Salas, Miguel Aguirrre, Art Aguirre, Jr., Emelio Ayala, Juan Adame, Jr., Ralph Arias, Manuel Vasquez, Mike Vela, Tony Martinez, Juan Garza, Miguel Suarez, and Oscar Cassiano.
