Aubrey Lee Haynes of Uvalde passed away on March 5, 2015 in San Antonio at the age of 83. He was born on December 16, 1931 in Barksdale to Joe K. Haynes and Bonnie Routh Haynes. He married Carol Wagner in Hondo on March 6, 1952. He is survived by his wife of 63 years; daughter, Susan Wagnon and husband, Walt of Arnett, OK; son, Bill Haynes and wife, June of Uvalde; two brothers, Jack Haynes and wife, Linda of Utopia and Gene Haynes and wife, Daveen of Reagan Wells; and five grandchildren, W.C. Wagnon, Ryan Wagnon, Megan Hight, Jory Haynes, and Darla Haynes; and eight great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gilbert Haynes and Jim Haynes; and a sister, Betty Jo Haynes. The family will greet visitors at the funeral home from 7:00-9:00 pm on Monday, March 9, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Burial will be in Concan Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Rev. Ray Melton will officiate. Pallbearers will be Gene Haynes, Bo Haynes, Zac Reavis, Kyle Wagner, Will Wagner, and Aubrey Paul Haynes. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Brice, Rusty Pipes, Charlie Foust, Jimmy Reavis, Bubba Light, Billy Wagner, Rod Wagner, Jimmy Torrez, Buddy Paper, Kenton May, Frank Burt Haynes, and Hoot Haynes. Memorial donations may be made to the Herby Ham Activity Center, PO Box 5488, Uvalde, TX 78802 or to the charity of one's choice.
