Augustina Luna

Augustina O. Luna of Uvalde passed away on March 12, 2009 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 83. She was born on May 28, 1925 in Knippa, Texas to Antonio and Eloisa Olibarez. She is survived by two daughters; Soila Martinez and husband, Carlos of Uvalde, Texas; and Sylvia Luna and husband, Rogelio Aranda of Del Rio, Texas; four sons; Robert Luna and wife, Becky of Vista, California; Tino Luna and wife, Eufemia of San Antonio, Texas; Antonio Luna and wife, Peggy of Uvalde, Texas; and Arturo Luna and wife, Sulema of Houston, Texas; two sisters; Teresa Rodriguez of San Angelo, Texas; and Isabel Rodriguez of Whitney, Texas; two brothers; Melquiades Olibarez of Linwood, Michigan; and Ricardo Olibarez of Uvalde, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Pablo Luna; parents; one daughter; Guadalupe Luna; five brothers; Frank, Antonio Jr., Juan, Ventura and Alifonso Olibarez; two sisters; Benina Olibarez and Eloisa Lara. A rosary will be held on Friday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Raul Lopez and Ruben Lara.
