Augustine Castillo

Augustine Castillo of Dilley, formerly of La Pryor, passed
away on September 6, 2019 in Dilley at the age of 41.# He
was born February 8, 1978 in Carrizo Springs, Texas, to
Juan and Evangelina (Cerna) Castillo, Sr.
Augustine loved spending time with family and friends,
leading them on expeditions to area flea markets,
watching football, barbecuing, watching movies, and
hanging out at the river. He was a loving father and
husband, and a caring uncle and brother. Augustine was
quick to laugh and made sure those around him smiled
too.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Rios of Dilley;
daughters, Angelica Castillo, Evelyn Castillo and Victoria
Castillo all of Dilley; son, Augustine Nathan Castillo of
Longmont, Colorado; sister, Christina Castillo of Devine;
brothers, Juan Castillo, Jr. of League City, Albert Castillo
of La Pryor and Christopher Castillo of La Pryor.#
He is preceded in death by his mother.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. followed
by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles
Mortuary.# A funeral mass will be held on Thursday,
September 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic
Church.# Interment will follow at La Pryor Cemetery.
