Barbara Sams

Barbara Ann Sams of Sabinal passed away on April 3, 2016 at her residence at the age of 72. She was born on November 1, 1943 in Philippi, West Virginia to Eldredge Sigley and Eva Nixon Sigley. She is survived by her husband, Merrold Sams of Sabinal; two daughters, Annette Horton and husband, Carl of Utopia and Kim Barnett and husband, Donald of Adkins, TX; three sons, Donald Kelly and wife, Mary of Mission, TX; David Sams and wife, Kimi of London, England; and Richard Sams and wife, Bonnie of St. Cloud, MN; two half-sisters, Linda Mitchell and Carol White, both of West Virginia; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Sabinal. Rev. Monty Benson will officiate. Cremation was under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
