Barbarita Rios

Barbarita Rios of Batesville passed away on February 25, 2009 in her residence at the age of 84. She was born on November 4, 1923 in Dilley, Texas to Juan Sr. and Guadalupe Sambrano. She is survived by three daughters; DeliaVasquez and husband, Margarito and Stella Rios all of Batesville, Texas; Trinidad Lara and husband, Robert of Uvalde, Texas; seven sons; Regino Rios, Juan Rios, Jose Santos Rios and wife Cruz; and Julian Rios all of Batesville, Texas; Feliciano Rios and wife Juanita of Carrizo Springs; Domingo Rios Jr. of Georgia; and Ellutario Rios and wife, Catarina of Catarina, Texas; two sisters; San Juana Sambrano of Uvalde, Texas and Trinidad Delgado of Batesville, Texas; one brother; Pedro Sambrano of Mathis, Texas; 39 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by parents; husband; Domingo Rios; one daughter; Elvira Perez; two brothers; Ramon and Juan Sambrano; three sisters; Patricia Hinojosa, Julia Canales, and Dolores Guedea; two grandsons; Javier and Ramiro Rios; and one son-in-law Robert Lara. A rosary will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 27, 2009 at 2:00 PM at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Batesville, Texas with burial to follow in Batesville Cemetery. Father Anthony Mendoza will be officiating.
