Basil Baron Fletcher of Uvalde passed away on January 14, 2010 in Del Rio, TX at the age of 65. He was born on September 16, 1945 in Jennings, LA to Schirmer Richard and Margueriette Jacobs Fletcher. He married Denise Mourning in Cuero, TX on September 18, 1987. He is survived by his wife of 23 years three sons, Byron Fletcher of Uvalde Walker Fletcher and wife, Kelly of Sinton and Jason Fletcher of Port Aransas two sisters, Shirley Davis of Jacksonville, TX and Barbara Brocious and husband, Skip of Florida a brother, Dick Fletcher granddaughter, Faith Fletcher and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Garland Fletcher. Basil worked worldwide as a respected drilling fluids engineer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, and all outdoor activities. He shot competition and was a gunsmith. He loved his family. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Scott will officiate.
