Basilisa Lopez

Basilisa Rodriguez Lopez of Uvalde passed away at her residence on June 21, 2013 at the age of 90. She was born on February 9, 1923 in Uvalde to Felix and Angelita Rodriguez. She married Salome Diaz Lopez in Uvalde on January 17, 1942. She is survived by her daughters Angelita Mora and husband Felix of Falfurrias, Irma Suarez and husband Sonny, Linda Tenorio, Beatrice Uriegas and husband Henry, Rosie Olvedo and husband Mando, Dora Juarez and husband Joe all of Uvalde sons, Salome R. Lopez Jr. and wife Petra of Chicago, Nabor Lopez and wife Armandina of Corpus Christi, Roy Lopez of Uvalde, Arturo Lopez and wife Luvina of San Antonio, and Jesse Lopez and wife Maria of Sabinal sisters, Amparo Charles and husband Carlos of Hereford and Consuelo Rodriguez of Swayzee, Indiana 31 grandchildren 34 great grandchildren, 4 greatgreat grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Our Mother was a loving mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother who always cared and remembered us until she left us. She leaves behind a lot of wonderful memories and we will deeply miss her. She was preceded in death by her husband parents sons, Richard Lopez and Pablo Lopez grandsons, Benny Arriola Jr. and Nabor Lopez Jr. and soninlaw, Joe Tenorio. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, June 26,2013 at 10:00 a.m at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial following Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers are Eusebio Suarez Jr., Eric L. Suarez, Chris Suarez, Chris Arriola, Matthew Arriola, Mark Arriola, Felix Trey Mora, Joe Tenorio Jr. and Joe Juarez Jr.
